Your personal data

On 25 May 2018, a new privacy law came into effect. To make it easier for residents to understand how Octavia uses and protects the personal data that we hold we updated our general Privacy Notice.

Early in May 2018 we sent all our residents a new Privacy Notice in the post, and you can also access the full Notice using the link to the right of this page. 

We use the data we hold about our residents and service users in the same way that we always have – to help us to provide a good service to residents but the new Notice also provides some extra details, such as:

  • Residents’ increased rights in relation to the data we hold about them
  • How we keep data secure
  • The types of personal data we collect about residents and how we use it
  • The legal grounds for how we use personal data
