Octavia In Your Neighbourhood 2019

We held our annual fun day Octavia in your Neighbourhood on the 13th July, with more than 200 residents attending throughout the day. 

The event gives residents a chance to meet Octavia staff who represent a wide range of services across the organisation, to feedback on their service experiences, and to find out further information.

There were lots of activities for residents to take part in including:

• Seated massages
• Dance mats
• Face painting
• Henna and Nail art
• Magician
• Arts and crafts and much more…

Our new Resident group ‘Your Voice’ led on talking to residents about their views on being a social housing resident and their priorities for the year ahead. We received an overwhelmingly positive response with some key comments about their Octavia experience being:

• Friendly, sociable, neighbourly
• Caring and helpful
• Secure, affordable, family oriented (we love our street)

There are many priorities for 'Your Voice' going ahead, including Anti Social Behaviour, Communal repairs completions, tenancy fraud, complaints policy as well as other areas across the organisation.

Residents also has the chance to find out about volunteering, the community choir and the new resident portal.
