Why start a community / resident group?

- It can help people to recognise their ability to improve their housing.
- It gives an individual a chance to become involved in the community.
- It helps people to understand how their landlord works.
- It gives people the chance to influence the policy of the landlord.
- It enables people to meet socially.
- It improves community spirit.
- It gives people a sense of achievement and pride in the community they have helped to build.
Octavia can provide a range of tools and resources to support residents developing and maintaining their group. One of these may be a start-up grant.
