Ensuring our tenants our safe with gas and electricity in their homes
To make sure you are safe the law requires us to get your gas boiler and appliances serviced and checked every year to ensure they are working properly and safely. Our contractors carry out this check as part of our regular gas servicing programme.

Most of our residents are happy to give us access, but a small minority fail to. Unfortunately, we have to spend time and money chasing people up that we would rather spend on improving homes and services.
We must and will check our gas appliances. If you fail to let us in, we will have to take legal action and you will be charged for our costs.
We carry out five-year electrical checks in our homes. This is not a legal requirement but we believe it is a good idea. As well as spotting any dangers, we can fix any minor faults there and then, arranging for resolving more complex problems or any upgrade work to be carried out at another time.
We also carry out regular inspections to make sure that common parts and staircases are kept clear and in good order, so that if there were to be a fire in one of the flats, residents have a safe escape route.
