Agencies working for us - what happens and our policy, advice on what information not to give.

To find out what you think of our services and when we need to do some research, we sometimes use marketing and other companies to carry out the work on our behalf.

When we do this, we provide them with residents’ contact details, so they can get in touch with you themselves.

It’s important for us to do this research and we choose companies that are experts in their fields. We appreciate it when you’re willing to give up your time to assist, but we do understand if you prefer not to take part.

However, we would like to reassure you that we are committed to respecting your privacy and we instruct any agencies we use to stick to our guidelines on confidentiality, as well as the rules set by the Data Protection Act 1988.

It is our policy only to pass on your details when it helps us to do our job, or if we are working on your behalf – for example to help you claim Housing Benefit.

We would never use a company to ask you for details about your bank account or anything of that kind. If you aren’t happy with questions being asked, you should refuse to answer. You can always call us to make sure that a company is really working for us.
