Changeover from Analogue to Digital - how does this affect our tenants?
As we get closer to the national changeover to digital TV signals, we recently reviewed our rules on satellite dishes and aerials, and consulted with the Tenants' Steering Group.
We want you to have a choice about how you access TV and radio signals, but we still need to make sure that you don't break council planning requirements.
Following the review, our main rules have not changed. In general, you will need our written consent to put up a satellite dish or aerial and you need to confirm that you will meet local planning regulations.
We are currently installing Integrated Reception Systems at our blocks of flats. Where we have already done this, we may not agree to put up a satellite dish. These systems provide you with a wide choice, allowing you to opt for:
If you live in a property leased by us from another landlord, you will need their consent to a request to install a satellite dish or aerial. If you are a leaseholder, you should check your lease for any clauses about satellite dishes and aerials.
