Golden Jubilee street parties
Street parties for the Queen's Jubilee in 2002
The
residents of Cochrane Street, Wilcove Estate and Wilsham Street Estate
all enjoyed a fund packed June 2002 Bank holiday weekend celebrating
the Queen's Jubilee in a true street party style.
The parties
were very well attended and included karaoke, discos, children's
entertainment, games and face painting, fancy dress competitions,
raffles, tombolas, quizzes and much more.
In the colourful
courtyards, residents, friends and guests enjoyed food and cakes from
different backgrounds prepared for the day, while children had fun and
received great prizes.
