A project based in W11 helping to support local children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
St Clement and St James is based in W11, North Kensington. It provides a large range of educational support to local children, supporting those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Many of their users have English as a second language.
They run a wide range of programmes that include:
Into University- support for disadvantaged young people to consider university as a further educational option. Support includes mentoring, academic support and aspirational workshops. Into University has excellent links with Imperial College.
Carnival Arts- runs every weekday during the school summer holidays and provides local children with the opportunity to make costumes for the Notting Hill Carnival in August.
We provided a grant to contribute to equipping a new learning space that St Clement and St James have recently developed. This space provides additional space for mentoring meetings and additional IT equipment.
