Outreach service

Outreach service

The outreach and befriending service, run jointly by Octavia Housing and the Octavia Foundation, is available to older or vulnerable adults that live in the borough of Westminster and are over the age of 50. The service is designed to encourage and support independence and to reduce isolation.

The outreach service works in partnership with other organisations in the community to provide older and vulnerable people with information and support to:

•stay healthy
•sort money or housing issues
•meet new people
•stay independent
•discover new interests and activities.

The befriending programme will match isolated or lonely adults with volunteer befrienders that have been carefully selected and recruited, police checked and trained to provide a good service.

The service is free, though there may be a cost for some associated activities.

Find out more from the outreach team or the befriending team, or contact us and ask to speak to the care team.
