"I've known some of the members most of my life. They're like family to us." Elaine Court, Assistant Cook
We run a comprehensive programme of activities with the underlying aim of maintaining or restoring the independent living skills of members. Typical services on offer include the popular Lunch Club, visits by a community psychiatric nurse, the services of an optician, advice on claiming benefits, hairdressing, arts and crafts, bingo, trips to the theatre/cinema, day trips and annual holidays.
Free transport is also available to frail older people who wish to attend the Lunch Club and Day Centre.
Trained staff are always on hand to provide necessary assistance. The scheme is revenue funded by the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and referrals are made via Social Services, Hospitals and Doctors.
