Octavia win Silver IIP status
Octavia Housing has been awarded Investors In People (IIP) Silver status - UK's leading people management standard.
Octavia achieved the Silver status after scoring 113 out of 140 selected evidence indicators, demonstrating that we invest and support in our employees to drive forward with our our business objectives.
Grahame Hindes, Chief Executive said:
"We are really pleased with this news, Octavia prides itself on being the best at getting better, and we want to build on this success and aspire to achieve Gold status when we are next accredited in three years time. This result builds on our recognition this year in the Sunday Times 100 best companies entry. The IIP system is used by over one third of the UK's workforce so to achieve a Silver standard is very encouraging indeed."
The framework asseses organisations on ten key indicators of the core standard. These are centred around elements of business performance including business strategy, learning and development and continuous improvement.
Within each of the ten indicators there are clusters of evidence requirements which need to be demonstrated by specific groups of people including managers and people (including volunteers). Over 60 people were selected at random to be interviewed by the assessor over a period of six days in October 2012.
According to the Investors In People website it is proven that organisations can improve financial performance, productivity and profitability. It can help an organisation manage change and fine tune its leadership capabilities.
Well done to everyone.view all news stories
